Sadie Marie Wells

Wells, Sadie Marie, 77, of Montpelier, went to be with the Lord on June 30, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lacy and Sallie Stanley and brothers Charles, Skip and Charlie. She is survived by her spouse James O. Wells, Sr.: sons, Jimmy Wells, Gary Wells and his wife Christi, Willie Butler and his wife Betty: daughters-Pattie Wells, Sharon Gammon and her husband Lee: grandchildren-Anna, Lynne-Marie, Shanna, Stephanie, Jamie, Jennifer, Daiyonna, Nicky, Ann-Marie, Dwayne, Erin, Crystal, Cassandra: great grandchildren-Logan, Shelbie, Ivy, Alyssa, Jacob, Jamil, Caydence, Lynsie, Joselynn, Eli, Jude, Carly Ann and Ewan: siblings-Loren Stanley and his wife Betty, Ann Edwards and her husband Raymond and close family friends-Patrick Mulligan, Rosewell and Mae Jones, friends from Wendy’s. Sadie was a homemaker, and also, and Army wife. She is a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and belonged to Rebekahs, Ashland Rescue Squad and the Woman’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, bird watching, reading, daily lunch at Wendy’s and word puzzles. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on July 2, 2014 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va. Services will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 3, 2014. Interment will be at Shiloh United Methodist Church cemetery in Montpelier, Va.
