Shirley Adams Mckenzie

McKENZIE, Shirley Adams, of Ashland, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 8, 2021. Born April 22, 1945, she was preceded in death by her parents Emmett Wilson Adams, Sr, and Ellen Gouldin Adams, her brothers Roger Lewis Adams and Wayne Scott Adams. Shirley is survived by her son Andrew Calvin Mckenzie, brothers Emmett Wilson Adams Jr, Billy Ray Adams, Dill Gordon Adams, Jerry Byrd Adams and sisters Jayne Adams Gibson, and Lilie Adams Childress and many nieces and nephews. Shirley spent her career as a loyal and dedicated employee of the US Postal Service. Shirley was cremated as per her wishes, and a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Nelsen Funeral Home, Ashland, Va.
