Steve was preceded in death by his parents Sigmund and Esther Laniewicz and his sister, Toni Uveges.
Steve was a Graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. He spent his career as an occupation health and safety officer with the state of Virginia. He enjoyed restoring antique furniture and loved fishing on the York river. Most of all, Steve loved life. He was wildly creative and designed and built tools as he needed them. He will be missed dearly by those who loved him.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Karen Laniewicz; brothers, John and Mike Laniewicz; and his sister, Susan Laniewicz.
