Wendell Richard Globig, 73, of Glen Allen, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Eleanor Globig. He leaves behind his loving wife, Jeanie Globig; devoted children, Nathan Globig, Thomas Globig (Rae), and Steven Globig; cherished grandchildren, Klara Globig and Sunny Thweatt. He is also survived by his siblings, David Globig (Jane), Roger Globig (Carol), and Renee Lyons (David), and several nieces and nephews.
Wendell graduated from Ohio State University and received his master's degree from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. He worked and retired after 33 years from DuPont as a Mechanical Engineer. He was very active in his church community at AIM- Ashland Impact Church, Ashland, Virginia.
Relatives and friends are invited to Wendell's Life Celebration at AIM-Ashland Impact Church, 206 S. Washington Highway, Ashland, VA 23005, on Saturday, October 4th at 6:00 PM. There is additional parking available at Nelsen Funeral Home in Ashland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AIM or Navigators Ministry.
