He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Coates Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lisa Coates; children, Amy Coates, Shelby Coates, and Adam Keosombath; grandchildren, Ember and Eden; and sister, Judy Nixon and Susan Wilmoth.
Willard and his wife were inseparable, she will cherish all of the loving memories they had. He loved cars, playing guitar, and loving on his grandchildren. Those who knew him will miss him dearly.
The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Concord Baptist Church, 15625 Concord Rd., Ruther Glen, VA 23546 where a funeral service will begin at 11am. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
