Yvonne Janet Craig, 79 of Ashland VA passed away on December 20, 2020. She leaves behind 3 brothers, Brian Hutchison, Ivan Hutchison, Paul Hutchison and 1 sister Sandra Barber in the United Kingdom, 2 children Julie Henry (Bruce) and Logan Craig (Terri), 2 grandchildren Lucas Parrish and Kathryn Matassa, and 4 great grandsons Jacob Sadler, Landon Parrish, Ryan Matassa and Will Matassa and her friend and caregiver Bonnie Downey. She was preceded in death by her grandson Joel Blanton and her beloved dog Hope. Yvonne was born in Ipswich England in 1941. She came to America in 1961. She lived in New York and Virginia. She worked for General Electric assembling circuit boards and then for years as a nannie to numerous families. She was the beloved Nannie to her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She loved being with friends and family, playing cards, going to the beach, a good cup of tea and a Shandy every now and then. She battled and beat cancer twice in her life. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Donations in her memory can be made to the American Cancer Society. Her funeral services will be private.
