Eileen Moser (nee Feser) passed away at age 97, in the Ross Payant Centennial Nursing Home, Assiniboia, Saskatchewan. Eileen was born at home on the family homestead near Pickthall, SK where her father Gottlieb and mother Eva settled in 1911. Eileen attended Stefan School which was about a two mile walk from the homestead. She married Charlie Moser in 1942 and moved to Assiniboia where she would remain for the rest of her life. Charlie lost both eyes in two separate accidents four years into their marriage. Eileen then became Charlie's eyes and cared for him until he died in 1988. Eileen had a quick wit and loved a good off-color joke. She was a fabulous cook who maintained an amazing garden which supported her great cooking skills. She loved the mountains and spending time at her niece’s cabin in Invermere, BC. Eileen also loved to play cards and she seldom lost a game. Her game of choice, however, with her good friends was always crib. Eileen had no children of her own but had many nieces and nephews she took under her wing as if they were her own. Eileen was also blessed with many incredible friendships in her community that supported her and helped her enjoy her later years. Eileen is survived by her sister Shirley Berjian, sister-in-law Loretta Feser and ten nieces and nephews. Eileen is predeceased by her parents Gottlieb and Eva Feser; brothers: Emil Feser, John (Laure) Feser, Gordon Feser and sisters: Alvina Feser, Madeline (Bill) Rust, Lorraine (Ken) McLaren and brother-in-law Nick Berjian. Funeral service was held Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Ross Funeral Chapel with Reverend Marilyn Leuty officiating. The tribute written by Eileen’s nieces and nephews was read by Warren Feser and Carla Darling.
