Elvina Ella Winter

Elvina Winter of Coronach, SK passed away January 2, 2026 at the age of 95 years at Moose Jaw Special Care Home, in Moose Jaw, SK.

Elvina was born in Buffalo Gap on February 6, 1930.

She is predeceased by her parents Edward and Frances Schmidt, husband Charles Winter, son Carman Winter, brother Ronald Schmidt, nephew Mart Schmidt and Randie Frederick.

She is survived by daughter-in-law, Elaine Winter, daughter Audrey Winter, son Warren (Brenda) Winter; five grandchildren: Cory Winter, Geana (Mike) Sognesand, Jeri Lee Winter, Brett (Kirstin) Winter, Sheldon Winter; seven great-grandchildren, Bailey (Nate) Leier, Josie (Andrew) Abrook, Paige (Carter) Sognesand, Avienn Winter, Atticus Winter, Willow Winter, Matilda Winter and one great-great-grandchild Miller Abrook.

Thank you to all those who were involved in Elvina’s life, you know who you are.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, RM of Hart Butte #11, on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Sarah Mowat officiating. Pallbearers: Cory Winter, Mike Sognesand, Geana Sognesand, Jeri Lee Winter, Brett Winter, and Sheldon Winter. Eulogy presented by Sheldon Winter. Fellowship and lunch will follow at the Alliance Church Fellowship Hall.
