

We are deeply saddened by the death of our dear mother, Flora Isabella (Todd) Hoglund on March 31, 2011. She was born on the family farm, Valor, Saskatchewan on March 16, 1915. Her schooling was taken in that area and until very recently, she was in touch with four of her classmates.
On June 10, 1935 she married Willard Hoglund, a farmer from the Airlie District, where they lived until 1973. Retiring to Assiniboia in the fall but sadly Willard passed away a few short months later. Through the years both were totally committed to the Shriners, Masons, Royal Purple and the Eastern Star where Flora achieved the status of Worthy Grand Matron, also serving on the Assiniboia Union Hospital Board. Being a member of the Entertainers and putting on shows was a real delight for her as well.
Flora was passionate about travel to many many countries each one providing he with exciting adventures and new friends.
Predeceased by her husband Willard, parents John and Flora Todd, sister Vi Pluth and brother Gordon Todd, Flora is survived by daughters Darlene (George) Germaine of Regina and Marlene Seffern of Walnut Creek, CA and son Bradley Hoglund of Assiniboia, along with her loving family of six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was fondly named GG by all.
Funeral Service for Flora was held at Ross Funeral Chapel on Monday, April 4, 2011. Pastor Bill Flath officiated. Tribute was given by Marlene and Darlene. Pallbearers were Colby Hoglund, George Germaine, Jack Sewell, Ron Fettes, Lyle Hannah and Les Coldwell. Members of The Order of The Eastern Star, Assiniboia Chapter #8 formed a Guard of Honour and conducted a Funeral Service.
