George Clare Bacon

George Bacon, age 90, passed away in Regina, SK on April 29, 2016 with his children by his side. The long-time resident of Ogema was predeceased by his wife Elda in 2014. George is survived by children: Jo-Anne (Archie) Arnott of Winnipeg, Brenda Bacon (Hans) of Winnipeg, Sandra Bacon (Steve) of Grimsby, ON, Gordon Bacon of Winnipeg, Keith Bacon (Stephanie) of Ogema; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. George Bacon was a man with a strong affection for his family and a love of the farm and farming. In addition to his love for his personal family, George dedicated much of his life to making a contribution to the lives and services of his community family in Key West, Ogema, and the lives of his friends in the College Park community in Regina. He taught his children to work hard, and keep it brief! A private interment ceremony will be held at the Ogema Cemetery where George will join

his wife, his mother and father, and two older brothers who died in infancy. A Memorial Service for George will be held at the Ogema Heritage Hall on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 1:00pm.
