In Loving Memory

George Duncan Galbraith

Born ~ May 26, 1928 Big Beaver, Saskatchewan Died ~ March 21, 2021 Weyburn, Saskatchewan

George was the fifth child of Dan and Mary Galbraith. George was a member of the Benevolent Order of the Elks at Minton for many years, joining the Coronach Order when he moved to Coronach. He enjoyed reading, sports, farming, coffee (lots of sugar), volunteering for numerous events around the community. He was known as uncle George to lots of people in the community. George also had no filter on the language he used, no matter who he was talking to. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially the younger as they were easier to tease. George was also part owner of Mother’s Oven Restaurant in Coronach from 1990 until selling it in 1994. He lived in Coronach from 1990 to 2001, due to health reasons, moved to Weyburn. George is survived by his 12 nieces and nephews and their families and sister-in-law Florence. He was predeceased by siblings: Dorothy (Ruddy) Bahsler, Annie (Axel) Frisk, Pearl (Bob) Jackson, Donald, Dwight (Margaret). Graveside Service was held Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Big Beaver Cemetery, Big Beaver, Saskatchewan.
