Gilman Adolph Benson

Gilman Benson of Rockglen, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully August 17, 2015 at age 96. Predeceased by his parents, Olanso and Anna, siblings: Myrtle, Ruth, Ervin, Selma, Lillian and Clarence. Gil is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Inga (nee Fjeldberg;, four children: Lorie (Sharon), Brenda (Cory) Knops, Marlin (Alanna Ring) and Trevor (Bonnie); six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives. Funeral Service was held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 2:00 pm, in the Rockglen Community Hall, Rockglen, Saskatchewan. Pastor Doug Miner officiated. A Tribute was given by sons Lorie and Marlin. Music selections played were ‘Nearer My God to Thee’, ‘Beyond the Sunset’, ‘How Great Thou Art’ and ‘The Ranger’s Waltz’. Pallbearers were grandchildren: Kenny Benson, Lindsay Warren, Curtis Knops, Kristy Gall, Bryce Warren and McKenna Brandt. Interment in the Rockglen Cemetery will be held at a later date.
