

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Laura Pyle of Yorkton, SK on December 6th, 2025 at age 92. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her three daughters Rhonda (Terry) Exner and grandchildren Nick (Sabina), great grandson Grayson, Rebecca (Dustin) and Will (Sabrina); Merrill (Jeff) Burns and granddaughter Aleah; and Leanne Pyle (Mac Homme) and grandsons Henry and James. She will also be remembered by many special nieces and nephews, her sister-in-law, Andrea Gelowitz, and many special friends who were so dear to her.
Laura was delivered by her oldest sister on the family farm near McCord, SK on September 30th, 1933 to parents Jessie (nee Loucks) and Allan McLeod. She was the youngest of ten children. Laura attended Varsity, a country school, then McCord High School. She finished Grades Eleven and Twelve at Central Collegiate in Moose Jaw. Laura attended Teacher’s College in Moose Jaw and taught for several years at various places. In 1967, she married Trevor Pyle and raised three daughters in Rockglen.
Trev and Laura owned and operated Dreamland Theatre until retiring in 2000. Her many interests included bowling, curling, crafts, and playing cards. Upon Trev’s passing in 2013, Laura moved to Yorkton, SK. Here, she met a friendly, fun-loving group she called her condo people, who meant so much to her. Laura loved watching the Blue Jays and was a passionate fan of curling. Laura was an outstanding cook and baker. Her grandchildren's favorites included lefse, flatbread, raspberry and crabapple jams, peanut butter balls and chocolate chip cookies. Laura was an absolutely devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
A private Service of Remembrance will be held in the Spring of 2026 at the Rockglen Cemetery, Rockglen, SK. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy for the Pyle family may be shared at www.rossfuneralservice.com. Arrangements entrusted to Ross Funeral Service, Assiniboia, SK
