Laurent 'Tom' Delorme

It is with great sadness that the family of Laurent “Tom” Delorme, age 95, announces his passing on December 7th, 2023 in Assiniboia, SK. Tom was born on the homestead at St. Victor on June 26th, 1928, to Albert and Antoinette (Beaubien) Delorme, the eldest of six children, Yvette (Mike) Lech, Denise (Jack) Harris, Philip (Anna) Delorme, Denis (Marilou) Delorme and Yvonne (Ted) Blackwell .

On October 16th, 1951, Tom married the love of his life, Adrienne Bergeron. Married for 72 years, they have four children: Gerald, Denise, Doris and Leanne, 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Tom cherished his family, giving them much support, love, and guidance.

Gerald (Gail) have five children: Sarah, Aaron (Miranda) and their children, Keegan and Madison; Robin (Heather) and their children, Samuel, Ethan, John and Cassia; Jordan (Jessica) and their children, Donavan, Emily and Corinne; and Sheldon.

Denise (Ed) Coulthard have five children: Patrick (Margaret) and their children, Hailey, Brooklynn, Scarlett and Penelope; Ryan (Marie) and their children, Quinton and Aislynne; Rachelle (Ragan) and their children, Taylei, Keeley, Trystan, Kash and Sienna; Trevor (Megan) and their child Callum, and Jason (Kirsten).

Doris (Keith) Mueller have three children: Christopher (Kate), Brett (Ashlea) and their child, Zoë and Sean (Autumn).

Leanne had one child, Daegan.

Tom was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Antoinette Delorme, daughter, Leanne (July 21st, 2018), and granddaughter, Sarah (October 28th, 1978), and also by numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

A Celebration of Life (Funeral Mass) was held on Friday, December 15th, 2023 at 1:30 pm with Father George Thattuparampil celebrant. Prayer Service was held December 14th, 2023 at 7:30 pm, with Gail Delorme presiding; both services at St. George’s Roman Catholic Church, Assiniboia, SK. Grandchildren participated in reading scripture, music ministry, bearers and son-in-law Ed presented the tribute. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Assiniboia, SK.
