

Lillian was born on January 9th, 1936, at Hazel Dell, SK. She was raised on a small farmstead near Willowbrook, SK along with her siblings. She served two years in the Air Force where she trained to be a bookkeeper. After the Air Force Lillian worked for the Grain Exchange, in Winnipeg, then moved on to the Churchill Power Plant at Island Falls, MB. Fate had Lillian answer an ad starting a corresponding with her husband to be. This courtship resulted in her relocating to live and work in Regina closer to her finance.
On July 7th, 1967, she married the love of her life Conn Yorga, in Melville, SK. They then repeated this event the following day in Assiniboia, SK. Lillian settled into life as the wife of a rancher & farmer, honing her skills as a homemaker, raising two children and continuing as a bookkeeper for the farm. She actively supported her husband and children in their interests and activities. And spent many years as an active member of the Wood Mountain Horticulture Society. Being a mother, grandmother and great mother were the highlights of her life.
Lillian is predeceased by parents, Irvin and Rhoda Olson, sister Ivy Swenson and brother Herbert Olson.
Lillian is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Conn. Her children Laura (Ron) Heide and Aaron Yorga. Grandchildren Kaitlyn (Ron) Everson and Cole (Alana) Heide. Great granddaughter Quinn Everson and her youngest sibling Jeanette Olson.
Our hearts are only beginning to remember not only that she is gone, but that she lived, creating memories to bring us comfort, happiness and the warmth of love.
Visitation was held Wednesday January 7, 2026 at 7:00 pm at Ross Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service was held Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 1:00 pm in Messiah Lutheran Church, Assiniboia, SK. Pastor Sarah Mowatt officiated. Everyone was invited to remain and join the family in fellowship and lunch. Interment to follow at Holy Ascension Orthodox Cemetery, Elm Springs, SK. Pallbearers Cole Heide, Alana Ensign, Ron Everson, Shane Ciocia, David Ciocia, Steve Robichaud. Donations in memory of Lillian may be made to Arthritis Society or Messiah Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
