OBITUARY

Renee Willford

June 27, 1964September 17, 2020

Surrounded by her devoted family, Renee Willford passed away September 17, 2020 at age 56. Renee Rose Ann (nee Rousseau) was born June 27, 1964 in Willow Bunch, SK. Looking at hundreds of pictures this picture caught my eye with the same sparkle, short hair, ears with ear rings that caught my eye 42 years ago sitting on the school bus when Renee walked by. We were a team that liked building and working together, first our Family then our Family Farm with our kids working hard with us. Then came some grandchildren that you can never have too many of. Family time on the water was #1. Her interests changed through her life to be matched with the kids interest in their life phases. Our entire family would like to thank everyone for the flowers, cards, food, support, and the Harvest help. Renee is survived by her loving family; husband of 36 years, Greg; four children: Travis (Kayli) and children Paisley, Bryden and Layla; Bryce (Alisa) and children Michael and Karter; Justin (Twylla); Danette (Mark) Romanowski; siblings Annette (Mike) Johnson, Francine Rousseau, sisters-in-law Valerie Rousseau and Elaine Stevens; father-in-law Earl Willford, siblings-in-law: Brian (Julie) Willford, Tim (Vanessa) Willford, Kevin (Lisa) Willford. Renee was predeceased by her parents Pauline and Johnny Rousseau; brothers Claude and Daniel, and mother-in-law Patricia Willford. A family Celebration of Renee’s Life was held Monday, September 21, 2020 at the Rocking W Farm. Please join in remembering Renee by visiting our memorial at www.rossfuneralservice.com. Through this site, we invite you to share your pictures and fond memories with the family. Arrangements entrusted to Ross Funeral Service, Assiniboia, SK. Remembering Mom A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest, It broke our hearts to see you go, God only takes the best. They say that memories are golden, Well maybe that is true, But we never wanted memories, We only wanted you. Your life was love and labour, Your love for your family true, You did your best for all of us, We will always remember you. We sat beside your bedside, Our hearts were crushed and sore, We did our duty to the end, ‘Til we could do no more. In tears, we watched you sinking, We watched you fade away, And though our hearts were breaking, We knew you could not stay. Our lips cannot speak how we loved you, Our hearts cannot tell what to say, But God only knows how we miss you, In our home that is lonely today.

3 years ago benefit
A BIG THANK YOU that attended and wanted to attend the Benefit but couldn’t be there.
Thanks to all that Organized, Worked, Donated and Participated in the benefit supper for Renee, (wife,
mother, mother-in-law, grandmother) we are all so grateful to have the love and support from family,
friends, community, and business partners in the family farm.
The amount of support has brought tears to our eye’s and smiles on our faces just to see how many care
in the journey to regain health from the disease that affects so many in different ways as we have seen
in the past few months during treatments.
A BIG THANK YOU to Carol Shelstad for being there for us as a Nurse, Caregiver, Emotional support,
family friend and organizer of the benefit with Doris Taylor. We told them to keep it to a little supper for
people that wanted to show their support for Renee’s healing. We can’t even famin the amount of
support that people wanted to show in many ways. How blessed we are to live in a community like this.
A BIG THANK YOU to our business partners Ebourassa and Sons that treat you like family, for there
benefit support of donations and bringing a bus load of employees down for steaks. Also for going the
EXTRA MILE to help the Boys and Danette with Equipment, parts and service when we couldn’t be there
to help the kids.
A BIG THANK YOU to our other business partners Richardson Pioneer that put in the extra effort to help
us, Monsanto, Bayer and any others that I missed as I haven’t heard of everyone that contributed yet.
For donating to the benefit, taking grain when needed, delivering supplies and advice when needed to
help the kids with harvest.
A BIG THANK YOU to Tom Hammond, Justin Kirby, Curtis Noll, Jesse Foley and Earl Willford for helping
with machinery preparation for harvest and work in the field.
We are sorry if we forgot anybody as there are so many to thank and weren’t around to see all that
helped in so many ways.
Great Big Hugs to all.

Greg, I remember you and Renee's generous offer when the two of you offered Archie and Dianne your camper for all their company, when Matthew died. I can still see Renee's reassuring smile with a twinkle in her eyes. I am deeply sorry for your loss. Our daily rosary prayer group has been praying for all of you. Love, Maureen (nee Foley) Dupuis and family.

Myself and the Family would like to thank everyone for the flowers, cards, food, support, and the Harvest help. That was Renee's favorite job running the Grain cart.
