Viola Swidzinski

Viola passed away peacefully on July 22, 2016 with her son Jason by her side and her daughter Melissa in her heart! Predeceased by her mother Joyce Yost, son Jeffery Swidzinski, and aunt Doreen Blatchford, Viola is survived by her son Jason (Cristin) and children Courtney, Savannah, Brandon, Brayden, Jaxon, Kyrsten, and Jerssie; and her daughter Melissa and child Deacon; her father Joe Yost; her sisters Lynda, Debbie (Louis), and Andrea (Doug); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Viola was born December 24, 1953 in Rockglen, SK. She attended Rockglen School and later moved to Assiniboia, SK. Viola was passionate about cats and horses. She loved the Saskatchewan Roughriders and she dreamed of meeting them all including the coaches. Her number one passion in life was her children and grandchildren, God, and the Lutheran church. She will be greatly missed by everyone. A Service of Remembrance was held Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Messiah Lutheran Church, Assiniboia. Pastor Doug Miner officiated. Tributes were given by Viola’s daughter Melissa and granddaughter Courtney. Donations in memory of Viola were gratefully accepted for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
