Louise Fogle

Passed away on November 4, 2019

It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Louise Fogle aka Gwanna to most! She lived a FULL 99 years by the grace of God. She passed away peacefully in the company of her family on November 4 2019 at l0:00 am. Until that time she continued to laugh, give fist chin bumps and tell lokes that cracked HER up. We will miss her, however, it is well with our souls that she has gained her wings and is laughing, joking and singing with the Lord. Louise was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina on July 30,1920 to the late Maggie Roberson and Harry Gilyard. She and her sister Lucille Green were raised by their grandmother Eliza McCord. Louise married the late Adam Fogle, and had two children. the late Alphonso Tjader Fogle and Maggie Jean Lewis. Louise and Adam moved to Florida to raise their family, Louise later moved to New York City with her two children.

Louise and her children Joined The Community Church of Astoria in 1950. Louise served the Lord and his people as a Deaconess, Usher, Missionary and as a Mother of the Church. We've also been told that she was an unofficial choir member as well.

At the age of 93, Louise moved to Maryland where she lived and was cared for by her daughter Maggie

Louise leaves to morn her Daughter Maggie Jean Lewis, her grandchildren Ricky Pearson, Gina Epps. Tjader Fogle ll and Katuhra Redwood, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews aunts brother in law and sister in laws. As well as ALL that knew and cared for her.
