Marie V Blanda

Marie V. Blanda passed away on April 15, 2016 at the age of 90. She was born and raised in Astoria. Marie was pre-deceased by Jerry Van Cura. On August 6, 1988 she married James Blanda. She was a loving and devoted mother and survived by her two children, Jerilyn Charles, husband Mark Charles and Debbie Van Cura, Friend Bob Singleton. She adored and cherished all her grandchildren: Amy Janosek (husband David Janosek), Elizabeth Wolk (husband Peter Wolk), Adam Charles, Kaitln Penston(husband Luke Penston) and Great Grandchildren: Kristen Janosek, Kayleigh Janosek, Kimberly Janosek, Joseph Wolk, Rebecca Wolk, Anthony Wolk, Declan Penston, and Charles Penston.

Marie moved to North Carolina for 20 years after she retired but then moved back to Astoria. Her passion was Dancing. She will be truly missed and never forgotten by her family and friends.

Reposing will be on Sunday, April 17th from 2:00 to 5:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral will be held on Monday, April 18th, 9:30 am at Most Precious Blood. Final resting Place will be Long Island National Cemetery
