August 27th 2010 Mario, Amy Lipton and I went to visit the DIA in Beacon and we got the inside view. We were permitted inside the gate to look down into the Micheal Heizer.

Dear Kim, I'm so sorry for your loss. Mario was my favorite relative on my mother's side. When I was a little girl, I was always fascinated by his beard and his mischievous smile! My mother Edda, loved him like a brother and I would always love hearing stories of when they were "roommates" when she first came to this country and of their childhood. We will miss him.

With peace and love,
Patricia, Edda, & Dario

I will always remember when cousin Mario would come to the house to visit. His presence always lite up the room with his laughter and the stories he would share.

He will be missed especially by his cousin Edda who always regarded him as his little brother.

God gave you wings now fly among the heavens. We will meet again Love Diane & Edda

Mario was caring, friendly, and giving to all people he met. And treated everyone with dignity and grace. Most of all he loved Kim and their life together. Scott and I will miss him very much. Unfortunately, we are in Florida until Saturday and unable to make the service. We send our condolences to Kim and the entire family, as well as all the wonderful friends Mario has.

I loved every minute I spent with Mario and all of the stories Kim shared with me about their lives and history. He was (is) so intelligent and artistic and strong and GOOD. I was going to add great looking but I thought that might be inappropriate. Kim - just try and get rid of me now! Rest In Peace Mario. We will meet again!

Mario was a very smart man, with an immense amount of knowledge, on so many important topics. He loved to share his vast knowledge with others. My fondest memories of Mario are the conversations we had together. He was talented, with a very creative sence of art that many people got to see over many years of his work and exhibits. May his life be a testament to love, and may his memory be a blessing, to all who got to know him.
