Barbara Ann Kominsky peacefully passed away at the age of 82 in Atascadero CA on May 24, 2020 with her husband and children by her side.
She was born in Chicago, IL on July 5, 1937. She married Edward Kominsky on May 24, 1958.
Barbara is survived by her husband, 6 children, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Her children are 4 daughters and 2 sons.
She worked as an Executive assistant and many other administrative roles and also took time off to take care of family. She also ventured out in to her own business for a while.
She was very active with her children helping with school activities, church activities and many others.
She was a strong resilient woman with stubborn Irish and German blood. She never let anything hold her back despite being dealt many physical challenges. She was a woman with strong moral values and a deep love for family and people. She was a social person and enjoyed being around others.
The family eventually moved to California for a better life. She always loved and wanted the best for her children. In California, she enjoyed road trips to the Coast. She loved the Ocean. She also loved visiting as many California Missions as she can. There was just something about the old missions she enjoyed.
She loved music and learned how to play the accordion at a very young age. She used to bring it out at Christmas, play and sing Christmas songs to all of us. She enjoyed many things. She liked to bowl, play bingo, poker, canasta and many other card and board games.
She also enjoyed family camping vacations and would sing songs with us. On family road trips she would lead the charge and sing those classic road trip songs. She liked good conversation, reading, good food, wine and her morning coffee.
She enjoyed life. She will never be forgotten and will always be loved and missed.
