Born at an Air Force base in Montana, where his father was stationed, David grew up in San Luis Obispo County and graduated from San Luis Obispo High School. During his childhood, he enjoyed riding dirt bikes in the desert with his father and brother, Michael. Their competitive spirit and shared love of riding became cherished memories.
David served in the United States Army before attending Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus in Computer Science in June 1986. He dedicated 30 years to Cal Poly's Financial Aid Department as a Senior Systems Analyst.
A logical and analytical thinker, David enjoyed games, hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. Camping was a cherished family tradition, creating lasting memories with his children.
David is survived by his three children, Amber Wislersham, Hunter Wickersham, and Heather Rae; six grandchildren; his brother, Michael Wickersham; and his sister, Laurie Acree.
His memory will live on through the family and traditions he leaves behind.
