Dorothy, along with her husband Gordon Gearhart, ran a successful insulation business for more than 30 years. Together they were members of several Model A touring clubs and enjoyed many excursions. Her favorite travels abroad included China and the Great Wall, Israel and the River Jordan, and riding in a hot air balloon in Africa.
Dorothy is survived by her children Kristen Gearhart and Kendra Allen and her grandson Mitchell Salt. She was the last of her siblings, and was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years and by her son, Kurt Gearhart.
