
Douglas Stewart Frampton December 8, 1946 to May 7, 2015 Born in Long Beach, CA to Jack and Marion, the 4th of 6 children. He graduated from Long Beach Poly High School class of ’65, Long Beach City College ‘ 67 with an AA in business, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Bachelors in Industrial Technology ’70. He was a member of the Carpenters Union in Long Beach and San Luis Obispo. He was a carpenter at the Atascadero State Hospital and Carpenter II at Camp Roberts. Doug married Mary Lou Deehr in September of 1974 in Long Beach. They relocated to Atascadero in August of 1977. He loved to fish, hunt, camp, and garden, always with a cigarette and cold beer in hand. As an accomplished wood worker and cement finisher, he could build just about anything. He succumbed to lung cancer and leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Mary Lou; sons, Jack, Tim (Caitlin), and Ted; grandson, Declan; sisters, Anne, Ritchie (Bob), and Mary Ellis; and brother, Don. He was preceded by his parents; brothers, John and Peter; brother in law, Jim; and nephew, Paul. Graveside services will be at Pine Mountain Cemetery in Atascadero on Friday, May 29 at 1pm. There will be a celebration of life pot luck on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Atascadero Kennedy Club Fitness Club House from 1pm to 4pm. All who knew him or support his family are welcome to come to both services and bring your best Doug story.
