Dyanne Elaine Tabin 80 passed away peacefully, on Monday June 13, 2016, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family in Atascadero, CA. She was born in Powers Lake, North Dakota on January 14, 1936 to Adolf "Sam" Alfred Johnson and Elaine Frances Orr. She is preceded in death by her Father and Mother. Husband, Federico Tacogloy Tabin, Son Anthony Dean Wilcox and daughter Marcy Wilcox. Survived by one sister Roberta Bentley and children; Julie Dyanne Wilcox of Templeton, CA, Kim Lori Stacy of Camarillo, CA, Steven Charles Wilcox of Laughlin, Nevada, Daved Sean Tabin of Orlando Florida, Tracy Warren Tabin of Paso Robles, CA, Andrew Lee Tabin of Paso Robles, CA, 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. Her greatest passion was music and she practically grew up on the stage during the "Big Band Era." Her Dad was a widely popular crooner with his own stage band performing live gigs, radio and cutting albums with big name artists. She inherited this talent and was extremely gifted with a beautiful voice that will remain in our hearts forever. She was able to pass down that talent to her children. Dyanne was an Advocate for Animal rights and was an original member of AFAR, now called North County Humane Society, a member of other various animal and environmental organizations. She and her children actively petitioned the inhumane treatment of the Baby Harp Seal, the mistreatment of wild animals born into captivity and domestic animal abuse. Dyanne fought a fierce, courageous battle with lung cancer, dying how she lived ... with dignity, strength and honor. Our beloved Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, will be greatly missed, highly cherished and remembered always. Per family wishes, there will be no service. A memorial to celebrate her life is scheduled for a later date. The family would like to thank all the staff & volunteers at Central Coast Hospice for all their compassion and support.
