Jim was born on April 17, 1949, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He devoted his career to corrections and retired as a program administrator.
Jim found great joy in life’s adventures, especially when traveling the country with his beloved wife, Janice, in their motor home. He especially enjoyed visiting Alaska and making memories along the way. At home, he enjoyed flying RC airplanes and helicopters, restoring vehicles, and gardening-hobbies that reflected his curiosity and love of working with his hands.
Jim’s religion and love of God was an integral part of his life and provided him with great comfort throughout his years.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Janice Marsh; his daughter Julie Jarvis; son, James Marsh; his grandchildren, Jeremy Munro, Eva Marsh, Chandler Olivera, Pheobe Marsh, and Noah Jarvis; his great-grandchildren, Jace Olivera and Lilinoe Kioa; and his sister Joan Walker. He leaves behind a family who will cherish the memories, adventures, and love they shared with him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 17, 2026. For further details please contact Julie at [email protected]
Jim will be remembered for the life he shared with those he loved the adventures he took with Janice, and the faith that brought him comfort. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
