I am so sorry to hear of my friends passing.  She was, and always will be a shining star, full of light and energy.  I was so lucky to get to know her through working at the AJHS and became friends.  I will truly miss her laugh, smile, and still long to have that HAIR.

Always a smile and a cheerful, positive attitude. I had the honor of working with and the privilege of watching Joanne teach and encourage youth for many years. Joanne is missed very much by all. A truly beautiful and courageous person.

What an awesome impact she had on students and staff at the jr. high! Loved her and her great laugh and smile!!! Take care Peter and kids!

We were so saddened to learn the news of Joanne's passing. My husband and I both worked with Joanne. She was the most positive, happy person we ever had the pleasure of knowing. Our hearts go out to her family. She will be missed by all.

When I truly got to know Joanne, she and Peter had come to our house for a visit. I was really down, because of my birthday and bad feelings of a close relative. Joanne took it upon herself to sing "Happy Birthday" in a loud boisterous voice every morning. She also treated me to an Irish song her family sang at birthdays. I felt special and cared for. I will never forget her loving nature and spirit. A truly beautiful and special person.

An angel!! She has her wings!! One of the sweetest, kindest persons i had a privilege to know. Always had something nice to say about everyone. I adored this special lady!! Prayers and love to the family. Joanne will be missed! Loved her! Hugs!

So very sad to hear of Joanne's passing.  I have been blessed to have known her.  She always brought a smile to everyone she ran into to and always made you feel she was happy to see you, with sincerity. Oh she will be missed.  Love you Joanne.

I am so sorry to hear of Joanne's passing.  She was unfailing cheerful, positive and encouraging to her coworkers (like me) and her students at the junior high.  We shared the bond of being instructional assistants to students, and living in  old colony houses.  She was just a beautiful person, (that amazing HAIR!), inside and out.  She will be so missed by all of us at Atascadero Middle School.

Joanne was a beautiful, friendly, wonderful person. We have lost a treasure to our community. My sympathies to her family.
