Joseph, “Tony” to friends and family, grew up in Los Angeles, CA., and joined the Marine Corps in 1965 immediately after graduating from High School. He served his country honorably completing three tours of duty in the Vietnam War as a RTO (radio telephone operator) and receiving the Vietnam Service Medal and Purple Heart Award.
After his military service, he earned his bachelor degree from Cal State University at Long Beach and went on to become a CPA. He spent his career as an accountant for companies ranging from a scuba diving equipment manufacturer to performance sports cars. He moved to San Luis Obispo in 1987 to be closer to family.
Throughout his life, Tony installed a sense of honor, dignity, and faith into those around him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Geno Scotti. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Scotti, sister Gina Galpin, three sons, Richard Scotti, Frank Scotti, Leo Scotti, daughters Kelli Denehy, Nicole Harrison, and six grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at The Chapel of The Roses in Atascadero, CA on Saturday, November 24, at 11 AM.
