Born on January 15, 1949, Kris was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She spent 30 years working as a pharmacy technician at Thrifty’s and later Rite Aid, where her kindness and caring nature touched countless lives.
Kris found joy in the simple pleasures — tending to her garden, baking something sweet for her family, relaxing by the lake or pool, and dancing whenever she could. A self-proclaimed “girly-girl,” she was drawn to all things pink, gold, and sparkly. She had a soft spot for babies and animals, especially her beloved small dogs and cats.
Above all, Kris adored her family. She is survived by her three children, Allison Hasch (and husband Nathan), Jeff Hixon (and wife Tracci), and Stacy Gibbins (Hixon); and her cherished grandchildren, Audrey, Andrew, McKenzie, Raquel, Kiera, Ben, Brayden, and Kate. She is also survived by her sister, Candace Tidwell (Thatcher), niece Taylor Ferrell (and husband Kevin), and stepsons James and Doug Hixon. Along with several great-grandchildren, Kris was also blessed with many dear friends who loved her like family.
Kris’s love, laughter, and loyalty will be remembered always. Her family takes comfort in knowing she lived a full and beautiful life surrounded by the people and things she loved most.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Kris’s memory.
