We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mary C. Milligan (Horn), who left us on April 16th, 2026. Mary was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her love story with her husband, Wallace Milligan, began at Atascadero Grammar School when they were just 12 years old and continued for a lifetime. They tied the knot on March 27th, 1954, after a childhood romance that blossomed into a beautiful marriage. Mary was known for her quick wit, humor, and selflessness, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met. Despite her health challenges, she faced them with a smile and unwavering strength. Her family was her world, and she meant everything to them as they meant everything to her. Mary is survived by her husband of 72 years, Wallace, and her children: Ed Milligan (Jayne), Julie Milligan, and Mike Milligan (Adriana). Sadly, her daughter Karen Milligan passed away in 2017. She is also lovingly remembered by her 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In honor of Mary, donations can be made to Wood's Humane Society, a cause she deeply cared about.
