Nello Joseph Tonegato passed away peacefully Tuesday June 27, 2017 at Brookdale in Paso Robles, CA. He was 90. He leaves his wife of 69 years, Beverly (Duddy) Tonegato, his daughter and son-in-law Carol & Leo Michaud, daughter-in-law Laurie Tonegato, grandchildren Kelly Sanders (Jason), Andy Michaud (Rebecca), and Stephanie Tonegato, great grandchildren Jenna and Spencer Sanders and Abby Michaud, Sister Norma Tonegato, sister-in-law Mary Tonegato, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Steve Tonegato and his brothers Feruccio, Reno, Peter, and Americo and their wives. Nello was born in San Francisco on Oct. 25, 1926. He served in the army for 2 years. He was a cabinet maker. He belonged to the Fratellanza club of Oakland, CA, the San Bruno Senior Center where hw volunteered for many years, the Old Timers Baseball club, and the Italian Club of South City where he played Bocci ball. A memorial mass will be held at St. Roberts Church in San Bruno, CA on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
