Nickolas Adolph Kamp

Nick A. Kamp Jr. Nick A. Kamp Jr, 79 Yrs old of Templeton Ca. passed away unexpectedly from heart complications with his three sons by his side. Nick was born September 13th 1937 in Chicago Ill. After graduating high school in 1952, Nick joined the US Air Force January 1955, serving in French Morrocco for a year, then stationed at the Radar Base in Cambria Ca. 1957 to 1958. It was here Nick met the love of his life, Linda Faye Gunn of Visalia Ca. Nick left the Air Force in May of 1959. He worked at Cal Tech in Pasadena Ca. May 1959 to January 1971, CalTrans 1971 to 1976, Camp San Luis Obispo 1976 to 1996. It was here he retired as Plumber Foreman, he taught inmates from CMC the trade of plumbing. Nick and Linda enjoyed 50 yrs of marriage. They had three sons Nick (Chrystine) Kamp, Frank (April) Kamp, Brandon (Michelle) Kamp. Five grandsons; Justin, Cary, Travis, Dylan and Noah. Nick was preceded in death by his loving wife Linda in 2011, his father Nick A. Kamp Sr. and mother Margaret. Parents-in-law Frank and Helen Gunn. Viewing will be at Chapel Of The Roses 2450 El Camino Real, Atascadero, Ca. 93422. Saturday May 6th, 2pm to 4pm. Nick will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife Linda at Paso Robles District Cemetary.
