Rita was active in the First Baptist Church in Paso Robles since 1956. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and was an Awana leader. She worked as a telephone operator and then at A&W Root Beer Drive-In, in Atascadero and Paso Robles after the Atascadero one closed. She enjoyed hunting for antiques and caring for her flowers, she also enjoyed crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She was a passionate Dodger fan.
Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth and her parents, Albert and Ressie McClease.
She is survived by daughter Debbie O'Shea (Kevin), daughter Diana Robinson (Donald), son David Carpenter, grandchildren Sky, Sierra, Ryan, Jessica, Darci, David Christopher, Tiffany and Austin, several great-grandchildren, and cousins Henrietta and Ewana.
