Russell Robert Wycoff

Russell Robert Wycoff, known to friends and family simply as Bob, was born on April 14, 1942 in Webster Groves, Missouri, where he spent most of his childhood with his parents, Russell and Adele, and his sister, Mary. At the age of 12, his family moved to San Diego, California, where he began the next chapter of his life.

Bob attended San Diego State University before being accepted to the University of Southern California School of Medicine. After earning his M.D. from USC, he entered the LAC+USC Radiology residency program. During this time, he served as a flight surgeon in the United States Navy, stationed at Camp Pendleton, where he attained the rank of Lieutenant. After returning to residency, he completed his training and became a partner at Hill Medical Corporation at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, specializing in neuroradiology and interventional radiology.

In 2000, Bob founded Oak Tree Medical Center, where he provided state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and interventional musculoskeletal and neuroradiology services until his retirement in 2018. Throughout his distinguished career, he was deeply respected by colleagues, peers, and patients alike. His compassion, expertise, and dedication to medicine touched countless lives and earned him the admiration of the community he faithfully served.

Outside of medicine, Bob embraced life with boundless enthusiasm and an adventurous spirit. He was an avid sailor and skier, a talented photographer, and a wine enthusiast who appreciated sharing good food, meaningful conversation, and memorable experiences with family and friends. He never believed in sitting on the sidelines. Whether he was sailing the California Coast, enjoying days on the ski slopes, traveling, capturing moments through his camera, or simply enjoying time with those he loved, Bob believed in living life to its fullest. His adventurous nature created countless cherished memories for his family and inspired those around him to embrace each day with curiosity, joy, and gratitude.

Bob and his wife made their home in the Paso Robles area, where they lived for the past 16 years. He passed away peacefully at home on July 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his wife, Candy; his five children Kimberly, Alyson, Robert, Christopher and Carly; his grandchildren Bridget, Shelby, William, Ruby, Charlie, Emerson, Holland, Brooklyn and Broderick ; his sister, Mary; and many other beloved family members and dear friends.

Bob will be remembered not only as an exceptional physician, but as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was deeply loved by many and leaves behind a legacy of compassion, integrity, service, adventure, and unwavering love for his family. The countless lives he touched—both inside and outside the practice of medicine—stand as a testament to a life that was truly full, meaningful, and well lived.
