August 27, 1953 – November 14, 2025
Steven Lee Budrow, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on November 14th, 2025 at the age of 72.
Born into a family of eight children, Steve was the eldest of the three boys and a steady pillar for all of his siblings. They looked up to him for his quiet strength, thoughtful mind, and the way he approached life with both practicality and heart.
Steve had a deep love of music—both listening and playing. His harmonica and piano were extensions of his spirit, and the melodies he created brought warmth into any room. Music was not just a hobby for him, but a language through which he expressed joy, comfort, and connection.
He was a devoted husband, happily married for 38 years, and his commitment to his family was unwavering. For a time, he and his wife especially cherished going to concerts in the park, where they would dance together under the open sky. Their love was beautifully on display in those moments, touching the lives of many who witnessed it. It was a joyful and memorable chapter of his life, lasting for years before illness made it too difficult for him to continue.
Steve’s strong will carried him through many challenges, including facing prostate cancer twice and living with heart failure. Even in the face of illness, he showed up to life with determination and grace.
He was known for his intelligence, his careful thinking, and his dependability. He nourished his family not only with love, but with the meals he took pride in preparing—ensuring no one ever went hungry. His cooking skills, like his resilience, are gifts he passed down to those he loved.
He will be deeply missed by his family, by the many people whose lives he touched, and by his loyal animals who adored him.
