Amelia was an avid painter who loved creating stunning works of art that now hang in the homes of her family and friends.
She was not only an artist of the canvas but also of the soul. She enjoyed attending service and bible study as well as lifting her voice in songs during worship.
Outside of church and the arts, she spread her positivity and joy no matter where she was. Whether in her travels throughout state parks or cheering on Alabama on the weekends.
Amelia also was passionate and dedicated to her work in procurement for defense contractors.
Amelia was a beacon of joy and love to any and all she came in contact with.
She was like a big sister to everyone; family, friend, or even stranger.
Every word she said truly did come from a place of compassion and love for whom they were meant for.
To her, family included her loved ones and friends but also the many pets she had in her life. Each one holding a special place in her heart.
Amelia was many things in her life. She was an artist, a traveler, a worshipper, a friend, and most of all, a big sister.
She is reunited in death with her parents, Horace Dayton James and Joyce Ann White James. And her grandparents, Virgil and Etha Amelia James and John Edgar and Carrie White.
She is survived by her brother Teddy James; her aunt, Gwen Lamb; her great-aunt Jewel Kennemer; and many cousins and friends.
