Ava Nell Swanner

She attended Calvary Baptist Church, and loved to spend time with her kids, grandkids, and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1:00pm until 2:00pm Wednesday April 28, at McConnell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm in the chapel, with Bro. Randy Johnson and Bro. Jimmy Swanner officiating. Interment will follow at Limestone Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The Birdie Thornton Center.

Pallbearers will be Gregory Swanner, Sean Jordan, Seth Jordan, Tim Sulcer, Fred Henderson, Jeff Henderson, and Jeff Lavender. Brady Jordan will be an honorary pallbearer.

Mrs. Swanner is survived by her son, Greg Swanner (Angie) of Florence; daughter, Rita Jordan (Kenny) of Athens; grandchildren, Lindsay Swanner, Gregory Swanner, Brady Jordan, Seth Jordan, Sean Jordan, Maggie Sloan, Kayla Sloan; great-grandchildren, Ava Maaninen and Olivia Maaninen; sister-in-law, Dale Nave.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Morris Swanner; parents Elijah B. and Eunice Anerton Nave; brother, Bobby “Buddy” Nave; sister, Margaret Johnson; and brother-in-law, Erskin Johnson.
