

The funeral service will be Monday, July 29, 2013 at 2 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with brother Brent Hawkins and Brother James Turner officiating. The burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Broadway was born August 10, 1942 in Limestone County to Brownie Colvett and Mary Paul Johns Colvett.
She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Mrs. Broadway was a floral designer and homemaker. She loved cooking and decorating.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, David E. Broadway; one son, Dave Broadway and wife Beverly of Athens; one daughter, Kara Hawkins and husband Brent of Elkmont; one sister, Martha Ann Wilson and husband Jimmy of Elkmont; 3 grandchildren, Coulter Broadway and wife Rachel of Birmingham; Bodie Hawkins and wife Beth of Elkmont; Sloan Hawkins of Elkmont; two great-grandchildren, Cade and Liddy Hawkins of Elkmont.
Pallbearers will be Carlos Broadway, Carlos (Bubba) Broadway, Jr., Keith Clem, Darrell Holt, Brad Turner, Bradley Wales, Corey Wilson, and Jim Wilson.
