

Anne is survived by her daughter, Paula Richter (Chuck), her son, Ames Shannon of Kansas City, brother, Wade Loggins (Kay), Sister-In-Law, Freda Daly (Tommy), three grandchildren, three great granddaughters, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Ames Shannon, and her sister, Doris Loggins Walker.
She was a member at Hobbs Street Church of Christ. Anne loved many things and was happy at home. She loved working in her flower beds and mowing her yard (sometimes twice a week). She loved her family and friends, the sound of the ocean and walking on its edge early in the morning. She loved listening to "good" music, jigsaw puzzles, but especially loved God. She wrote for us to "know that I have gone to the Home of the Soul to be with God. She wished this for each of us.

Anne's visitation will be Tuesday, September 9th, 2025, from 10 until 12:30 at McConnell Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service at 1 pm at Sylone Cemetery, 23308 Upper Fort Hampton Road, in Elkmont, AL.
She requested memorials be made to Limestone Bible Camp, C/O: Clay Johnson, 18378 Red Tail Street, Athens, AL. 35613.
