Faye T. Bryson, 75, of Virginia Beach, VA, formerly of Athens, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026 at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA. She was born April 21, 1950 in Limestone County to Oscar Thornton and Kathleen Jones Thornton. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Bryson enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, James Bryson; one son, Craig Gray; and one brother, Ed Thornton.
There will be a private graveside service Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Athens City Cemetery. The visitation will be from 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at McConnell Funeral Home.
