Brenda Gaye Watwood

There will be no public funeral service according to Brenda’s wishes, she will be cremated, and a private ash scattering will be held by her loved ones at a later date.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed dearly; Brenda spent her working career caring for others as a Registered Nurse/Director of Nursing. She was very passionate about her job and found joy in providing care to the geriatric population. She fulfilled her dream of owning a farm. She was happiest in the peace and quiet of her home amongst her loved ones and animals.

Mrs. Watwood was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cozadd, sister Patricia Long, and special friend, Jimmy Perry.

She is survived by her son, Joseph (Angela) Watwood, daughter, Beverly Gabonay, brother, Kevin (Cassie) Cozadd, seven grandchildren, Wesley Watwood, Kayla Watwood, Andrea Watwood, Eric Gabonay, Reno Gabonay, Jacob Gabonay, and Abigail Gabonay.

In lieu of flowers we invite contributions in honor of Brenda to Hospice of North Alabama, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Divine Life Ministries for Divine Hope.
