Christine Hobson Black

Christine Hobson Black, of Elkmont, passed away at home on Friday January 20, 2023, at age 63. Mrs. Black was born on April 21, 1959, to C.T. and Frances Hobson. Remembered as a wonderful mama, the best nana and very special to all of her friends and family. She loved God and her family with all she had and always had an encouraging word for everyone. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 10-11 a.m. with the funeral service at 11. Burial will be at O'Neal Cemetery. She is survived by her son, Jeff Black (Alison); daughter, Melissa Wells (Chris); brothers: Eugene Hobson (Ruby), Charles Hobson and Gary Hobson; sisters: Carolyn Hargrove (David), Barbara Elrod (Roger) and Sue Sides (Ricky); grandchildren: Braden Long, Jackson Long and Jagger Black; great-grandson, Draco Long; and all of her friends, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Preceding her in death are her husband, Jackie Black; daughter, Holly King; brother, Larry Hobson; sister, Nell Hobson; and her parents.
