The funeral service for Clara Estelle Collins, age 91, of Scottsboro, formerly of Athens, will be Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 10 a.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Bud White officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Collins died Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Cloverdale Manor in Scottsboro, AL.
She was born January 19, 1920 in Alabama to Thomas Jefferson Stewart and Bertie Taylor Stewart. Mrs. Collins was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Jimmy Collins and wife Sandi of Vaiden, MS; one daughter, Sandra Dawson and husband James of Scottsboro, AL; nine grandchildren, Ken Collins and wife June, Paul Collins, Patrick Christy, Danny Christy, Cathy White, Keith Shelton, Brant Shelton and wife Cristy, Whitney Cleveland, and James Dawson and wife Ingrid; 20 Grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ken Collins, Nick Collins, Keith Shelton, Brent Shelton, Charles Lawler, and Dalton Stewart.
