

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015: 12-1:45 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Parvin passed away Saturday May 23, 2015 at her residence.
She was born March 1, 1921 in Athens, AL to Theo Pepper and Ruth Barksdale Pepper.
Mrs. Parvin is preceded in death by her parents; husband James Gordon, three sisters Sophia Johnson Landers, Alma Vasser, Clera Tribble, five brothers Mason, Douglas, Mitchell, Franklin, and Milton Pepper. She was a nurse for 30 years, and a nanny for the Joe Walters family for 18 years. She loved quilting and gardening, and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Parvin was a member of Jones Road Church of Christ. She worked at Redstone Arsenal during WWII.
She is survived by her two sons Rodney and Hal Parvin, Daughter-in-law Terri Parvin, three sisters Dorothy Pepper (82), Rebecca Schrimsher (98), and Julia Winston (99), grandchildren: Chelsea Parvin, Amy and Justin Osborne, Ben and Jenae Parvin, Brandon and Tammy Parvin, honorary grandchild Stephanie Walters Guthrie, great grandchildren: Will, Anna, and John Osborne, Garrett and Kinley Parvin.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Parvin, Steve Hargrove, Joe Walters, Wade and Grant Pepper, and David Conn.
