Mr. Terry was born October 3, 1966, to Curtis Johnson Terry, Sr., and Ida Brown Terry, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a lifelong member of Athens First Methodist Church. Mr. Terry was a 1985 graduate of Athens High School; he attended the University of North Alabama, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.
Survivors are his son, Sgt. Curtis Johnson Terry, III (Lauren), of Honolulu, Hawaii; sister, Sara Terry Vanderburg, of Athens, Alabama; granddaughter and grandson, both of Honolulu, Hawaii.
For memorials, the family suggests donations to the Manna Meals Ministry of Athens First Methodist Church.
