David Junior Miller

Mr. Miller passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

David Junior Miller was born March 13, 1940, in Madison. His parents were Dave Miller and Shelley Madwell Miller of Madison. Mr. Miller worked for Lindsey equipment for 11 years and BFI transfer station for 17 years. Prior to that he was a truck driver.

Mr. Miller was an active member of the Madison Street Baptist Church. He loved his family and friends. He was always willing to help anyone who needed him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dave Miller, and mother, Shelley Madwell Miller; sons, Andy Miller and David Brooks, Stanley Brooks; and granddaughter, Lisa Brooks.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Doris Dugger Miller; sons, James Miller, Mike Miller and wife Pam of Hazel Green, Mike Brooks and wife Carol, Ricky Brooks and wife Rosemary; daughters, Deborah Brooks Mullins and husband Gene, Cindy Brooks McCurry and husband Roger; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; and best pet friend, BooBoo.

Pallbearers will be Marvin Miller, Virgle Murphy, Harry Posey, Lee Posey, Donald Bickers and JD Isbell.

Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.
