

The Funeral Service for David Hiram Quillin, Jr, age 75, of Madison, AL; will be Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 1 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Terry Thomas, Gary Heard, and Doran Smith officiating.
Visitation will be Friday, January 31, 2014: 6-9 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Madison City Cemetery.
Mr. Quillin passed away Thursday January 30, 2014 at his residence.
He was born February 13, 1938 in Madison County, Alabama to Dave Hiram Quillin, Sr. and Minnie Elizabeth Quillin. He retired from John Blue as a supervisor after 43 years. He was a member of Heavens way Baptist Church. He coached baseball and softball a lot of years and loved to fish. He was in the Navy Reserve for 4 years.
Mr. Quillin is preceded in death by his parents; one son Michael Quillin, one brother Wayne Quillin, and two sisters Barbara Hagood, and Elenor Steadman.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Juanita Quillin; three sons Craig Quillin and wife Sharon, Kenny Quillin, Carlton Elliott and wife Kim; two brothers Wilson Quillin and Jackie Quillin; five grandchildren Josh Quillin, Jake Quillin, April Smith, Elizabeth Smith, and Michelle Thorton; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Carlton Elliot, Joe Quillin, Tyler Smith, Ed Shaney Felt, Lee Hagood, and Alton Craig.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Bryant.
