Dorothy Christine Aultman

The Funeral Services for Mrs. Dorothy Christine Aultman age 89, of Athens, AL, will be Wednesday March 14, 2012 at 3 P.M McConnell Memorial Chapel with Tony Wales Officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday February 13, 2012 from 6-9 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home. Mrs. Aultman passed away on Sunday March 11, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Aultman was born January 14, 1923 in Limestone County to Claiborne (BOB) Bolin and Rose Turner. Mrs. Aultman worked at Redstone Arsenal for the war effort during WWII. Former co owner of Aultman Grocery in Thatch Community from 1950 – 1961, She worked several years as Waitress before managing Wash and Gossip for 38 years. She was a charter member of Elkton Road Baptist Church, not missing a service for 7 years. She was well known in the Athens, Limestone community. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Romeo R. Aultman. She was survived by her daughter Sharion Adams and husband David of Toney, AL; grandsons R. Gregory Malone of Athens, AL, Richard G. Malone and wife Heidi of Athens, AL, Richard M. Adams of Athens, AL; granddaughters Regina G. Bray of Oklahoma, Melody G. Hunter and husband Shannon of Arizona, Cindy S. Woods of Birmingham, AL, Helen S. Malone of Athens, AL; brothers Carl D. Bolin and wife Theona of Brookwood, AL, Kenneth Bolin and wife Peggy of Saraland, AL; sisters Macie Blankenship and husband W.H. of Nashville, TN, Maxarene (Micky) Hudspeth and husband Clyde of Mississippi, Peggy Raper and husband Sidney of Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews.
