The Funeral Service for Doyce Elree Waddell, 75, of Athens, will be Wednesday March 28, 2018, at 4 P.M. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Dwight Raburn and Spencer Hardiman officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday March 27, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Waddell passed away on Saturday March 24, 2018 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Doyce was born September 9, 1942 in Limestone County, AL; to Robert Olan and Mary Christeen Waddell. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Gloria Waddell, one brother, Bobby Gene Waddell, one nephew, Robert Waddell.

He is survived by two half-sisters Sherry Waddell and Phyllis Keller both of Athens, AL; one first cousin Charlotte Hardiman Turner of Athens, AL; two uncles Walter A. Hardiman of Athens, AL; and Mahlon Hardiman of Ardmore; three nephews Ronald Waddell of New Mexico; Doyce Waddell of Oklahoma; Pierce Ennis of Athens; three nieces Sherry McClendon of Oklahoma; Mery Cruz of California; and Neely Murphy of Athens, AL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Gloria Waddell.
