Born May 14, 1936, in Cripple Creek, Colorado he was the son of the late Julius and Clara Tatman Bishop.
Ed lived much of his life in California and retired to Rogersville, Alabama in 2003. To keep active in retirement he volunteered, and was later employed, at Joe Wheeler State Park. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, photography and fishing in San Francisco Bay.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Glenn & David, his beloved son, Russell, and his ex-wife, Judy Franklin Bishop.
Survives include children Lisa (Jeff) Brown of Athens, AL, Scott Bishop of Lawrenceburg, TN, Sandee (Steve) Eacret of Casa Grande, AZ, daughter-in-law, Robyn Bishop Brown of AZ, sister Sandy (AL) Pickrel of Corte Madera, CA, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 6 great great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
